Amadeus Consulting Successfully Creates an Information Rich iPad Application for Breast Health and Healing
Amadeus Consulting creates an information rich iPad application for the Breast Health and Healing Foundation, to discover the cause of breast cancer and spread information about prevention.
Boulder, CO, August 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Amadeus Consulting successfully creates an Information rich iPad™ application for Breast Health and Healing. The application incorporated the latest technology and information from several sources and addressed the foundation’s mission statement of using knowledge to prevent breast cancer in women.
Dr. Kathleen T. Ruddy, a prominent breast cancer surgeon for over 35 years, founded the Breast Health and Healing Foundation in 2008. After years of treating breast cancer patients, Dr. Ruddy noticed that the informational focus of breast cancer is solely on the cure. The goal of this unique foundation is to not rest solely on ‘finding a cure,’ but rather to discover its cause and spread important information about prevention. Dr. Ruddy states that her mission statement is, “To discover the specific causes of breast cancer and to use that knowledge to prevent the disease.”
One of the inventive ways Dr. Ruddy and the Breast Health and Healing Foundation provide information and support to women is using mobile apps. Always on par with leading technology, Dr. Ruddy came to Amadeus Consulting after her custom iPhone™ application was accepted to the Apple® App Store. She was looking for a better software development experience with a new partner, and she had her sights set on the recently released iPad™.
She approached Amadeus Consulting to start from scratch, and create an iPad application that could incorporate elements from her iPhone application, but leverage the unique features of the iPad. These features include increased screen size and embedded video capability, as well as video-viewing superiority. The application needed to include information and links from multiple reputable sources. Dr. Ruddy felt very comfortable with Amadeus Consulting as an iPad development partner because of the company’s extensive history in mobile application development. “Working with Amadeus was a pure pleasure, start to finish. I was impressed by their standard, opening group conference call at which I was introduced to all of the team members. We went over the proposed project and each person in charge of every piece of the work was identified. All milestones were met, on time. The Breast Health and Healing iPad App, developed by Amadeus Consulting’s Mobile Team is a touch-based application designed to centralize prevention and cause information and provide it to women, families and those suffering from breast cancer. The app brings together a lot of information in a centralized theme that redirects users to pertinent breast cancer cause sites, including: Theresa Quilt, Mammogram Facilities, more Information about Dr. Ruddy and donations to Breast Health and Healing.
The challenge for Amadeus Consulting's Mobile Application team was to ensure a consistent theme for the application, while incorporating information from several sources. One of the features that Amadeus Consulting’s Mobile Team is especially proud of is the ability to embed multiple videos and animation into the application. The Breast Health and Healing app is currently being submitted to the Apple App Store for approval. As a result of the success of this project, Amadeus Consulting is working with Dr. Ruddy on another project.
