Chiang Mai Thailand's Newest Photographic Web Site Launch

Chiang Mai, Thailand, August 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Howard Weiner, a well known American photographer living in Northern Thailand, is announcing today the launch of his new web site: www.howardweiner.com. Howard Weiner is presenting a series of photographic tapestries entitled "Inside the Kaleidoscope:: a series of abstract, large-scale (137.5 x 275 cm and larger) photographs that invite viewers into a fantastical and imaginative world, challenging the limits of the medium. Using only the camera on his cell phone, Weiner has created a library of 200 over-sized kaleidoscopic digital photographs that evoke the saturated color, multi-varied texture and often inscrutable exoticism of SE Asia. The photographs are digitally printed in high resolution using archival ink on canvas textured vinyl. Weiner draws his inspiration from his daily surroundings, transforming the mundane into his unique visions. The photographs' scale encourage the viewer to enter these worlds and be mesmerized by color, shapes and textures. Especially intended for use in commercial design projects i.e. hotels, resorts, office buildings and condominiums, custom sizes are available and commissions are welcome from design industry professionals and private individuals. Weiner was raised in America close to New York City. His early memories include being taken to the opera, ballet, museums, theater and films. From these experiences he developed a life-long love, respect and admiration for the arts. In 2007 he chose to make Chiang Mai his permanent home.
