Entertainers Can Now Easily Raise Funds from Fans with iFundie
Atlanta, GA, August 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- It’s called iFundie, an online fundraising platform that allows Entertainers (Artists, Musicians, Fashion Designers, Dancers, Web Producers, etc.) to raise money directly from their fans. It’s done by the Entertainer giving exclusive rewards and benefits to contributors of their project through this website.
“A lot of Entertainers hit financial roadblocks when attempting to take their craft to the next level,” says Steven Otu, Managing Partner and co-Founder of iFundie. “We aim to help change that by giving fans the ability to directly contribute to a fundraising goal in exchange for incentives.” Entertainers can show their appreciation by offering anything from a pre-album download to a hand-crafted Thank You.
Here’s how it works:
1) An Entertainer needs funding for a project or endeavor and launches an easy-to-access profile using iFundie.
2) A financial goal is set; each contribution level is assigned a unique reward.
3) The race is on; the Entertainer uses their iFundie profile to reach out to friends, family, followers, and fans to help reach their funding goal in time.
While currently in private-testing mode, the company hopes to provide a unique and fun way for Entertainers to share their creative works with the world, despite financial limitations. The company has already worked an exclusive partnership with Atlanta-based musician, Johnny Konway (formerly frontman of Capgun Criminals) as an official sponsor of his comeback tour set to kickoff in September. Johnny Konway is the grassroots personality behind the hit single “Let Me Be” that is setting venues ablaze across the Southeast.
iFundie is set to officially launch this Fall.
