Signalman Publishing Announces Release of "Palm Beach Gold"
The latest novel from R. Thomas Roe follows Palm Beach attorney Jake Fox in the biggest case of his life.
Orlando, FL, August 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- How sweet life would be if all ethical issues were cut and dried—just hit the “Easy Button” on decision making. Choose the guy in the white hat over the guy in the black hat. Choose the straight-and-narrow path to follow and not the crooked path. However, those over the age of 35 know things just aren’t that Sesame Street simple. Life is messy.
R. Thomas Roe’s second novel, "Palm Beach Gold", follows attorney Jake Fox, who, after working in a large law firm, realizes he has lost something of himself. He decides to strike out on his own in Palm Beach, Florida where he meets a young couple with a growing gold coin business. When the husband suddenly dies in an airplane accident, Jake lands the biggest case of his life. Since Jake is now out on his own, he has to mortgage everything in order to finance the case and bet that it is a winner. The problem: would his principles survive? His client, the grieving widow, is a knockout, but there is more inside her ambitious mind than meets the eye.
"Palm Beach Gold" perfectly captures the moral dilemmas that confront most of us at many points in our lives. We work to survive and survive to work, but what is the meaning of it all if we can’t hold true to our inner self and core set of values?
Aviation enthusiasts and legal buffs may appreciate the technical accuracy and the level of detail that the author keeps as he relates the story.
"Palm Beach Gold" (ISBN: 978-0-9840614-9-5, Trade Paper, 330 pages, $16.99, Literary Fiction) from indie book publisher Signalman, is distributed through Ingram and available wherever fine books are sold.
