MedReferrals.org Provides Online Health and Social Services Database for Chicago's Underserved

Free website connects the underserved with quality care.

Chicago, IL, August 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- MedReferrals announced recently the launch of its new website, which is designed to compile a comprehensive online health and social services database providing greater access to quality care for the underserved in the Chicagoland area. The website allows users to search for accessible services based on individualized needs, such as language, type of insurance, and cost of care.

“Our goal is to make sure anyone and everyone who needs health care has a way to find it,” says Jordan Dale, one of the founders of MedReferrals. “The services are out there, and hopefully MedReferrals will help Chicagoans find the care that best fits their needs.”

The website is fully integrated with Google Maps to make searching for quality care fast and easy for users. A visitor simply enters the type of care desired near a location, and the website returns a map of the returning results. The user can then click on the map for facility details, such as address, website, hours and contact information.

Additionally, MedReferrals allows users to search for affordable health and social services by category. Once the user selects a category, the search narrows to show only the facilities relevant to the user’s needs. Results are sorted both by name and location.

MedReferrals is requesting that both healthcare professionals and patients use the website to ensure a successful continuity of care that helps bridge health disparities in Chicago communities.
