Design Studio Designs Sites for African Causes

ECO is a non-profit organization, aims to bring positive changes to local communities in Uganda, East Africa. Their educational and sustainable initiatives focus upon on the environment and conservation. Send Jamie To Africa is a local initiative that is geared towards helping a local Nashua nursing student raise funds to travel to Africa to help and study the AIDS/HIV epidemic. "One of the designers in our studio was reading the local paper, and saw an article about Jamie and her situation," said Bill Schick, Principal at Bill Schick Design. "We decided that here was an opportunity to help out someone local. And we're not just helping Jamie get to Africa. The knowledge and experience she's going to get working directly on the front-line of the AIDS epidemic is going to benefit our community here in Nashua—in ways we can't even imagine."
