Acort International Taps Film Industry Sales Veteran Darrin Ramage for President of International Sales Division
Film industry sales veteran Darrin Ramage joins Acort International.
Las Vegas, NV, September 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On August 23, 2010, Acort International’s fast-expanding distribution operation has announced film industry sales veteran Darrin Ramage as President of International Sales Division, based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ramage will be in charge of the coordination of international business development while also focusing on acquiring new film and TV programming. His responsibilities will be to concentrate on direct sales of Acort International’s 300 hours of film and TV content. He will focus on selling rights to theatrical, television, internet and DVD buyers in German-speaking territories, Eastern and Central Europe, Latin America and Asia.
“I am very enthusiastic about having the opportunity to be hands on in the growth of Acort International,” Ramage said. “I think they have great, strong core content, and it was the content that intrigued me and brought me to the table. We also share the same vision for the company’s upcoming feature projects to hit the widest possible audience."
For the past 17 years, Ramage has headed the international sales for MMI-Maxim Media International mainly responsible for sales to the world market and attends notable film markets such as Cannes Film Festival, MipTV, MipCOM, Hong Kong Filmart and AFM. He managed two successful North America DVD labels Midnight Releasing and Brain Damage Films, while also producing 18 successful feature films.
He is a graduate of Canterbury University with a BBA in Business Management and an MBA in Marketing.
