Girls in Tech Los Angeles is proud to present this Red Carpet Event bringing together local Celebrities, Fashionista’s, Designers, and Stylists for an Evening of Shopping, Makeovers, Swag, Giveaways and Networking to do good for those in need. “Fashion’s Night Out” is a global event happening on September 10th with over 800 locations holding events to promote shopping and giving. Saks will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the non-profit, Dress For Success.
Los Angeles, CA, September 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Girls in Tech Los Angeles is proud to present “Fashions Night Out” event at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills on September 10th from 6-10 PM PST. Fashion's Night Out, is in its second year, and is a worldwide initiative to celebrate fashion and support local economies. Fashion’s Night Out was launched in 2009 by Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and NYC & Company in response to the global economic downturn. This year it’s being held during New York Fashion Week with more retailers and over 100 U.S. cities participating as well as Paris, Milan and London and many other destinations around the globe. This year, CBS will be filming a special on Fashion’s Night Out and will air the Primetime Show on September 14th. The documentary special will include behind the scenes footage with Vogue editors reviewing this year’s event from designers to trendsetters.
Girl’s In Tech Los Angeles, created the Beverly Hills event with the glitz and glamour expected at any red carpet event and will have media coverage by online media and live web TV network company, Mingle Media TV, who will be capturing the event on video to share on their Red Carpet Report web show. At the Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills on Fashion’s Night Out, guests get to shop from 6 PM to 10 PM and receive a 15% discount on purchases, will find a VIP suite on the fourth floor where they will get to speak with designers and stylists, try out a new look with makeovers and enjoy the evening with special cocktails and leave with a swag bag. Additionally, there will also be giveaways from the fall collections of designers Elie Tahari and Pink Tartan. Saks Fifth Avenue will also be donating 5% of the proceeds from the event to Dress For Success (http://www.dressforsuccess.org).
