New Town Guide for Hailsham Visitors and Residents
Visitors to Hailsham and Hellingly will be able to learn more about the town thanks to a newly revised and published guide book.
Hailsham, United Kingdom, September 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lower Dicker based Local Authority Publishing Ltd, who have produced publications for over two hundred local authorities since 1988, have partnered with Hailsham Town Council and Hellingly Parish Council to create a 64-page, glossy A5-sized fourth edition of the Official Town Guide, which will be available to members of the public in the coming weeks.
The revamped and extended guide will list clubs and associations in Hailsham and Hellingly, give details of accommodation and places to eat in the area, and feature nearby places of interest for both residents and visitors.
The publication will also include details of the responsibilities of the town, district and county councils, and contain sections on education, health, housing and recreational facilities for people considering moving to Hailsham or Hellingly.
The Hailsham & Hellingly Official Guide will be free of charge, and copies will be available at the Town Council Offices (Inglenook, Market Street) and Hailsham Library (Western Road).
Director of Local Authority Publishing Ltd, Leigh Ralph, said, “I am delighted that Hailsham Town Council is thinking local once again and has decided to ask us to produce a revised version of the Town Guide, which will now include information on the surrounding village of Hellingly.”
He added, “We have over two decades of experience in distributing such local directories, and this guide will be highly informative and of great benefit to those who read it.”
Hailsham Town Clerk Liz Jones commented, “The Town Council is very pleased to announce the new issue of this essential publication, which now includes information on our neighbouring parish of Hellingly.”
Adds Mrs Jones, “The guide will serve as an indispensable resource for the entirety of visitors’ stay in Hailsham and Hellingly, and will complement the numerous smaller publications and attraction brochures that are already distributed through the Town Council Offices and local visitor centres.”
Councillor David White, chairman of Hellingly Parish Council said, “The revised edition of the Town Guide coincides with the start of work on several major housing developments in the town. It will provide an excellent introduction to the town and its facilities and attractions to new residents, as well as providing the opportunity for businesses to introduce themselves to those residents.”
