Mr. Wang was most recently a Managing Director and Co-Head of Collins Stewart's China banking group. Collins Stewart is a publicly traded global investment banking firm headquartered in London with offices across Asia, Europe and the U.S. Previously he was at Merriman Curhan Ford & Co. where he co-lead the firm's China banking initiative. Formerly, he was a Director in Cantor Fitzgerald & Co.'s investment banking group where he focused on advising middle market Chinese companies seeking to participate in the U.S. capital markets.
Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., Mr. Wang was an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Peter J. Solomon Company. In 1998, he founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of RetailCo Inc., a leading sports retailer based in Shanghai with over 300 employees and 50 stores across China. RetailCo's primary assets were successfully sold in 2006 to a Hong Kong listed footwear retailer. Mr. Wang began his career in restructuring and investment banking in New York with Arthur Andersen LLP and Barington Capital Group, L.P., respectively. He received a B.S. in Accounting from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. at Columbia Business School.
