Steinle, DC founder of Health and Harmony Chiropractic announced the conversion to electronic health records (EHR). “We have been converting our chiropractic clinic over to a digital record keeping system,” said Dr. Steinle. EHR is a paperless, secure system of maintaining patient data. The system reduces documentation errors while providing a platform to communicate with other health care professionals. The move to EHR is supported by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Electronic health records implementation is being endorsed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) of the United States. The CMS lists several reasons for the push to EHRs including:
