Lively Leprechauns, Lost Gems Enliven Where Are My Amethysts?, Published by Outskirts Press

Novato, CA, September 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Children’s author Barbara Bryan today announced the release of her fifth work of juvenile fiction, Where Are My Amethysts?, published by Outskirts Press. Bryan’s latest fairy tale will once again stretch the imaginations of her young readers as they follow the twists and turns of the trail to find Jesse’s lost amethysts, taken from their hiding place on Leprechaun’s Day.

In the town of Evergreen Forest, Leprechaun’s Day is a special celebration when children are allowed to look for leprechauns and go after their pots of gold – or, in the case of Jesse and his family, the bags of precious opals, sapphires and amethysts they’ve tried to hide from discovery on that special day.

Like most youngsters, Jesse had lost track of time playing at other games and had to hide his bag of prized gems at the last moment. Sadly, it is discovered by a little girl, but she accidentally drops it into the fast current of a nearby river. Carried along downstream, the bag of amethysts then survives Pyrite Falls, is eventually discovered by a mermaid, and finally is snatched up by a hawk, and carried away into the distant horizon.

Bryan’s surprise resolution to the recovery of Jesse’s gems will delight young readers as the characters from Save the Golden Tree come together again to help out their friend in need.

Where Are My Amethysts? is available on-line in paperback through Amazon and Barnes and Noble and at www.outskirtspress.com/bookstore for a maximum trade discount in quantities of ten or more.
