Joseph Q. Bretz Named Tap Water’s President of Interactive Media
Joseph Q. Bretz has joined Tap Water Entertainment – the innovative film and television Production Company based in Austin, Texas – as president of interactive media. Bretz will also continue to manage the up and coming rock band Mouth to Mouth.
San Francisco, CA, January 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A well-respected veteran video, music and digital-media producer and entrepreneur, Bretz will team with Tap Water founder and CEO Scott Dolezal, whose background is in traditional television and film production, to bring a new dimension to the company’s slate of projects.
According to Dolezal, Tap Water’s ventures – which include the reality television shows “Wrecking Havoc” and “Switch,” and a variety of other initiatives – will take advantage of Bretz’s expertise at creating unique branded content for the growing interactive media market.
“It’s an ideal marriage,” Dolezal said. “He's a digital-media guru, and one of my strong suits is the short-form video. We’re both targeting what we like to call the ADD Generation. Our two skill sets are coming together, and we’re learning from one another. I like the idea of bringing in someone who compliments what I do. It's going to take Tap Water further into the future.”
Bretz and Dolezal met through a mutual friend, and subsequently collaborated on “Gumby’s 50th Birthday Gala” -- a video special paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of the beloved stop-motion animation character. Dolezal co-produced the program with Bretz. They also shared production duties on a video project that features the up-and-coming rock band Mouth to Mouth.
The synergistic relationship fostered by Bretz and Dolezal gives Tap Water an advantage as the company creates and manages content for unique distribution outlets such as IPTV (internet-protocol television), as well as cell-phones, iPods, and regular TVs.
“Scott has a lot of traditional film and broadcast experience, and old-school Hollywood connections,” said Bretz. “He's a hard worker and all around good guy, and he’s put together a great team at Tap Water.
“Now, we’ve decided to combine our forces, and I’m extremely happy to be there.”
