Tell Your Metal Roofing Story: Metal Roofing Alliance Turns the Tables

After many years of telling consumers about metal roofing, the non-profit Metal Roofing Alliance wants to hear from Homeowners with metal roofs, who are encouraged to submit a photo and story via Facebook.

Belfair, WA, September 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Why Metal? Tell Your Metal Roofing Story.

Homeowners have Opportunity to Help Habitat for Humanity.

For the past decade, the non-profit Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) has been telling homeowners and contractors about the many benefits of residential metal roofs. The education-based association's website (www.metalroofing.com) has featured the many colors and styles, the durability, eco-friendly properties and the tax and energy savings related to metal roofs.

Now, they're turning the tables, and asking consumers to tell the organization about their metal roof via Facebook. Not only will MRA give homeowners a chance to brag, they'll also reward a lucky winner with a $500 Home Depot gift certificate. The MRA will also make a donation in the winner's name to their closest Habitat for Humanity chapter.

Entering the contest is easy:
Simply submit a photo of your metal roof and a brief description of why you like it through the application on MRA’s Facebook page http://apps.facebook.com/metalroofingstories/. Then, get 10 people to “Like” it via Facebook and you’ll be entered to win.

Plus, the contractor that installed the winning metal roof will receive a free Silver Level Metal Roofing Alliance membership or $1,000 towards a Gold level membership.

"Homeowners who choose metal roofs are always pleased with the results, and are quick to recommend them to friends and family. By entering the contest, consumers can tell their story to even more people, and help a worthy cause at the same time," said Tom Black, Executive Director of the Metal Roofing Alliance. "Given the durability of metal roofing, we're pretty confident the winner won't ever need another roof, so we decided to offer a prize that will allow them to invest in another part of their home."
