Jackson Lewis Nabs Top Spot in BTI Consulting Group’s “Litigation Outlook 2011 Report”
White Plains, NY, September 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Jackson Lewis, one of the fastest-growing workplace law firms in the United States, is proud to announce the firm has been named the “Employment Litigation Powerhouse” by BTI Consulting Group in their Litigation Outlook 2011 Report. Jackson Lewis was the only employment law firm given this distinction. BTI Consulting Group’s Litigation Outlook 2011 report is based on almost 300 one-on-one interviews with in-house counsel from Fortune 1000 companies who are primarily responsible for litigation and buying outside legal services. This is the first time BTI has published a report solely dedicated to litigation.
“We are deeply honored and humbled by BTI’s naming of Jackson Lewis in the employment litigation category,” said Patrick L. Vaccaro, firm-wide Managing Partner. “As a firm, client service has always been our number one priority. This award serves as continued validation of our longstanding client-first mentality” added Vaccaro. Vincent A Cino, the Firm’s National Manager of Litigation stated: “We pioneered alternative fee arrangements and proactively introduced new fee concepts to clients. We continue to invest in our clients through both programming and meeting with them in person to better understand their businesses and how they operate. Our national footprint allows us to be where our clients need us most, and our size allows us to have people that truly comprehend the specific industries, issues and trends affecting them. We have been working very hard on our consistency throughout our 46 offices and meet regularly with our local Litigation Managers to ensure that the JL way of litigation is hammered home at every opportunity.”
Jackson Lewis was tapped to the top spot on BTI’s employment litigation list for several reasons. Jackson Lewis was one of the first firms to proactively offer a value-oriented approach through alternative fee arrangements, recognizing Corporate America's need for budget certainty.
The firm also practices what it preaches. Jackson Lewis holds one of the best track-records for fostering a diverse staff. Over twenty percent of their offices are managed by female partners; 25% of their litigation managers are female partners; and 25% of their areas of practice are coordinated by female partners.
In total, the firm has been asked to handle 1,911 new litigations in 2009, and currently has over 5,000 litigations open (of which 300 are class actions).
