In an effort to improve transparency, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Department of Labor (DOL), and the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PBGC) have published final regulations that require that all 403(b) Plans subject to ERISA file the same schedules as is the case for other plans subject to ERISA such as 401(a) and 401(k) Plans including Schedule C. Failure to comply with this important change could result in major fines and penalties.
