Call2Recycle® and Hockey Legend Guy Lafleur Team Up to Take Battery Recycling to New Heights in Toronto
Torontonians who recycle batteries during Sept. 25 collection drive at CN Tower to receive hockey memorabilia.
Toronto, Canada, September 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- What: Call2Recycle and former hockey great Guy Lafleur are asking Torontonians to clear out their basements, closets and drawers and bring all of their old batteries to a collection drive event at the CN Tower Boulevard on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Each person who brings at least one battery to the event for recycling will receive an autographed photo-postcard of Lafleur. People who bring larger quantities of batteries to the collection drive for recycling will receive merchandise autographed by Lafleur and be entered into a grand prize drawing:
· Two kilograms of batteries: Receive an 8x10 autographed photo
· 10 kilograms of batteries: Receive a signed hockey stick
· 50 kilograms of batteries: Receive an autographed Montreal Canadiens #10 hockey jersey
· 250 kilograms of batteries or more: Entered into a drawing for a weekend trip for two to Montreal during the Winter 2011
All consumer household batteries weighing less than five kilograms will be accepted.
This collection drive is part of MyCall2Recycle, a consumer awareness campaign created by Call2Recycle to educate everyone in North America about the importance and ease of battery recycling.
