ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters Available Through the EMC Select Program
Amherst, NY, September 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- 8Gb/s and 4Gb/s HBAs Provide Customers with High Availability Connectivity to Enterprise-Class Storage Systems
ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, today announced that ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBA) are now available through EMC® Select, a program which helps customers easily acquire components that comprise an information infrastructure. ATTO Celerity 8Gb/s and 4Gb/s host bus adapters are the only HBAs that allow Mac OS X® and Windows® 7, Vista and XP host systems to connect directly to EMC Celerra® EMC CLARiiON® and EMC Symmetrix® storage systems.
ATTO Multipath DirectorTM, a technology available with ATTO’s Fibre Channel HBAs, provides improved storage performance and reliability by leveraging failover/failback and load balancing capability. In addition to providing direct connectivity from workstations to storage arrays, the solution can also be used in SAN environments for multiple-user access to pooled storage.
“Mac OS X and Windows 7, Vista and XP have long been the hosts of choice for the digital creation and IT markets,” said Matt Mainstruck, manager of EMC Select Program. “ATTO’s Fibre Channel solution provides customers with high availability connectivity to EMC’s market leading and enterprise-class storage systems to meet the needs of these environments.”
“ATTO is pleased to be a part of the EMC Select program,” said Tim Klein, President and CEO, ATTO Technology, Inc. “Our technology offers direct block access to storage and this will enable media and entertainment and IT users to more efficiently manage real-time, performance-demanding applications.”
