The author chose photos from the archives of her late father’s work, some of which were his favorites. The poetry and expressions that accompany the striking photos were written during a span of several years. Photos range from close-ups of flowers in their natural glory to beautifully lit candles, seemingly endless stairways, beach scenes and glorious sunsets.

Author Jennifer Tehani Sarreal has a background in Cultural Anthropology and conducts world performance art education programs nationally and abroad. She is an international dance champion and Reiki master, and her work has been featured in such publications and television programs as The Press Telegram and ABS-CBN. This is her first poetry book. The author is founding a nonprofit organization in her father’s honor that will provide workshops to children around the world promoting self-confidence and community.

Photographer Josef S. Sarreal was a professional photographer, traveler, motorcycle enthusiast and family man, dying in 2008. The youngest of 11 siblings, he came to California from the Philippines when he was 5 and spent the rest of his life there. He is an alumnus of the New York Institute of Photography. This is his first book of photography.
