Carroll/White Doubles Client’s Facebook ‘Likes’ in 48 Hours
Atlanta, GA, September 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Not everyone is a fan of syndicated radio talk show host Neal Boortz. But, you won’t convince anyone at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead. With a strategy developed by the client’s agency, Carroll/White, and the endorsement of Boortz, the dealership doubled its Facebook ‘likes,’ all within 48 hours.
The Carroll/White plan called for Boortz, a paid spokesperson for Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead, to leverage his large Twitter following by inviting them to a limited availability “Facebook Party” at the dealership. Boortz would sign autographs, mix, mingle and give a keynote address. Party-goers would also enjoy cocktails, food and music.
To get a ticket of admission to the party, one must ‘like’ Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead on the dealership Facebook page, at which time an admission ticket was then sent. Over 275 new fans were acquired over a 48 hour time period – not a bad effort to boost the local Mercedes-Benz social community.
