Gothic Scuzz Punk Band the Gaa Gaa's Release New Single on the Playground Records

London, United Kingdom, September 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Following on from the release of their punk crazed EP entitled ‘Repulsion Seminar’ which initiated a massive buzz surrounding the band, Brighton’s The Gaa Gaa’s are now set to cause more mayhem with their raging new single ‘Voltaire’ which will be the first release on newly founded The Playground Records. Produced by Robert Harder (S.C.U.M., Baby Shambles, The Slits, White Rose Movement), this raucous and ear-splitting track which is to be released on 1st November 2010 creates a relentless dark resonance, with its pounding bass line and rhythmic guitar riff calling to mind a gothic-tinged version of The Rapture. Lyrically, lead singer Gavin superbly compliments the constant, pulsating drum sequence with his loud, persistent and in your face vocals. The B-side features a banging electro remix produced by Kitsune heavyweights Punx Soundcheck. After performing various European festivals this year, the band have confirmed a number of upcoming gig dates including the Monto Water Rats on Sunday 10th October, their ‘Voltaire’ single launch at 93 Feet East on Saturday 30th October, and Berlin’s Bang Bang Club on Saturday 13th November.
