Scintel Technologies ‘Steps Out’ to Stop Diabetes

Atlanta, GA, September 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Scintel Technologies Inc., a leading provider of consulting and IT services, today announced that the company is working with McKesson Corporation and other companies to fundraise and participate in the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes. A Certified Business Partner of McKesson, Scintel has committed to raising $10,000 and to providing active participants in the event.

“We are delighted that Scintel has committed to partner with McKesson and the ADA to fight this debilitating disease,” said Ian Lockwood, vice president, McKesson Corporate Strategy & Business Development. “Scintel’s passion for the cause is inspiring. After attending the ADA sponsorship breakfast early this year, Scintel immediately ‘Stepped Out’ and committed to help raise funds for the ADA.”

The ADA walk takes place on September 25, 2010, at Grant Park in Atlanta, Ga. This Free registration event includes exciting activities and information for the whole family.

"Diabetes is a devastating disease that touches us all,” said Rhonda King, associate manager for the Association. “Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes is such a wonderful event for friends and co-workers to come together and help change the future of diabetes. The camaraderie and spirit that is enjoyed by participating in this event is priceless. We are so pleased to have corporations such as Scintel Technologies and McKesson investing in our local communities!”

T.K. Ganesh, president and CEO of Scintel added, “We are pleased to be walking with McKesson and helping improve life for Georgians and millions of people across the country. I would like to challenge other members of the Atlanta technology community to ‘Step Out’ and support the fight against diabetes.”
