Electro Pop Band Live Like Lions Release Their New Single 'Cecile' on Echo Palace Music on 8th November 2010
Electro dance pop band Live Like Lions release their new single 'Cecile' on Echo Palace Music on 8th November 2010. They combine the release of the new single with UK tour dates supporting The Little Comets.
London, United Kingdom, September 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- London electronic-drenched pop act Live Like Lions are looking to make a roar with debut single ‘Cecile’ out on 8th November via EP Records and are to support Little Comets on their October UK tour
Having enjoyed a successful first twelve months writing tunes then touring the UK supporting White Rose Movement, Dansette Junior and Little Comets, promoting their own club nights and playing a number of festivals, London-based electropop trio Live Like Lions are ready to release their debut single ‘Cecile’ via Echo Palace Music on the 8th November.
As a result of the initial groundswell the band have created, Live Like Lions have recently been asked by Little Comets to support them again on some of their October UK tour dates:
Thursday 7th October – Bodega, Nottingham
Friday 8th October – Haymakers, Cambridge
Saturday 9th October – Sugarmill, Stoke
Sunday 10th October – Arts Institute, Cardiff
Originally from Devon, Live Like Lions was formed in the summer of 2009 by three childhood friends. Ben, Sam and Jay who earned their spurs in bands of various styles in their home region. Various musical experiments followed, and prospered, but all of the building blocks fell satisfyingly into place with an intense, weeklong session in their new North London home studio, which bore the framework for the unique Live Like Lions sound which isn’t one you’d expect from a bunch of Devon boys. Many describe their sound as light, electrified dance pop which could easily sit alongside Friendly Fires and MGMT in equal measure.
’Cecile’ reflects this with its upbeat tempo and euphoric vocal delivery within its captivating synth-driven chorus. Lyrically, the track tells the true story of a friend who is high-level banker stuck behind his office desk holding a secret that only gets revealed at nights: He actually prefers to be a She.
The sense of deep desire are a common theme to be heard within Live Like Lions’ music, and, with the direction the band is going, it could be said music lovers will be desiring them very soon, too.
