Empower Technologies Announces Completion of Video Production
Empower Technologies uses American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
Bradenton, FL, September 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Empower Technologies, Inc. D/B/A/ SonoSoft announced today that it has completed production of an informational video discussing the requirements of the HITECH Act as they relate to medical professionals and medical related health record keeping.
On February 17, 2009 President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Of the $787 billion invested, a large portion ($19.2 Billion) of the ARRA is allocated to improve Health Information Technology. This portion of the Act is known as the HITECH Act. The HITECH Act offers financial incentives to physicians who purchase, implement, and meaningfully use an Electronic Health Record (EHR) by the year 2015.
“In order to improve the quality and lower the cost of healthcare, physicians must become educated in healthcare information technology (-HIT),” said Dr. John Stagl, SonoSoft’s President. “Unfortunately, HIT is extremely complex so we set out to produce one video, -a half-hour in length; that provided a comprehensive set of information for practicing physicians, medical office administrators and medical CIOs.”
Empower Technologies, produces the SonoSoft electronic health records (EHR) software suite, providing physician practice management and electronic health records services for small to medium-sized medical practices as well as hospitals and enterprise customers.
This sponsored presentation will be featured nationally on the Fox Business Network™, Saturday September 11 at 12:00 PM ET, (Bright-house Channel 149, Comcast 106 & 821 HD, ). The video is also available for viewing on SonoSoft’s web-site: http://nomoredictation.com/aboutus; or free to medical professionals who request a copy. Copy requests may be made to Jack Sandelman, the company Administrator by calling (800) 833-7707, or by e-mail to jsandelman@nomoredictation.com.
