Alexis and Mark Breyer (Breyer Law Offices), also known as Arizona's “Husband and Wife Law Team,” along with the American Lawyer Academy Sponsor Video Contest to Promote Safe Driving.
Phoenix, AZ, September 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Alexis and Mark Breyer (Breyer Law Offices), known as the Husband and Wife Law Team, a Phoenix, Arizona personal injury law firm, are pleased to announce that they have become the southwest regional sponsor of the 2010-11 American Lawyer Academy (ALA) Viral Video Scholarship Contest. The scholarship program is dedicated to the thousands of people who are needlessly injured or lose their lives each year due to the negligence of others. The goal of the American Lawyer Academy, in conjunction with its regional partners, is to help reduce the number of collisions and help save lives with a positive viral message created by this contest. High school and college students nationwide are encouraged to submit their videos promoting safe driving.
“We want to make the roads safer for drivers of all ages. We hope this type of contest will help increase awareness of the dangers of cell phone use, text messaging, and other types of distracted driving that can lead to tragic results," say the Breyers in regards to their biggest safety concerns. "We are excited to be the regional sponsor of the American Lawyer Academy video contest, and hope it is one more step in the education of Americans on this dangerous and common practice.”
In 2008, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that 938 people died in car accidents across Arizona (Fatality Analysis Reporting System, 2008). Two hundred and seven were young people between the ages of 16 and 24.
“We know that safe driving practices start years before getting behind the wheel. We hope this viral video reaches children of that technology-dependent generation and hits home about the effects of distractions to drivers," state the Breyers. "We are excited to see the creative talent from within our region of the country and hope this scholarship helps get students excited about safe driving.”
The American Lawyer Academy Viral Video Scholarship Contest offers $25,000 in scholarships toward college tuition at a recognized academic institution. Students that want to use their talent and creativity to help spread a positive message that captures the imagination of the YouTube generation can view video submission details and contest rules at http://www.breyerlaw.com/viral-video-scholarship-contest-southwest-region.html.

Our cases include automobile, motorcycle, and trucking accidents, slip and fall incidents, nursing home abuse cases, dog bites, construction accidents, and other cases of negligence that have left innocent people permanently affected.
