Wachovia Executive Joins Communities In Schools of NC

Raleigh, NC, January 04, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC) has announced the addition of John William (Bill) Holt III, head of Community Banking and Business Banking for Wachovia Corporation, to its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors for CISNC provides direction in planning and policy decisions, oversees financial development and monitors implementation of goals and objectives of the non-profit to help ensure best practices and results. Board members also serve as advocates and spokespersons for CIS to the community at large.

Bill Holt provides executive leadership to Wachovia’s Retail and Commercial Banking operations in non-metro markets, and to Wachovia’s Business Banking unit serving metro-market business customers with $3 million to $15 million in annual revenue. He has been with Wachovia since 1983 and previously served as head of the Community Banking segment; project leader for Community Banking in Charlotte, NC; region executive in Central Florida; city/county executive in Durham, NC; and Southeastern area executive in Wilmington, NC.

He is a former board member of the North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation, the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina, Inc., and the Johnston YMCA.
