First Annual RADO Charity Golf Tournament is Oct. 5 at Bent Creek

Player fee includes a $50 golf gift certificate, a chance to win a Mustang convertible from Duval Ford, a hamburger lunch buffet and an awards reception following a spectacular day of golf to support a community non-profit organization.

Jacksonville, FL, September 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Riverside Avondale Development Organization (RADO) is hosting its first golf tournament, Tuesday, Oct. 5 at award winning Bent Creek Golf Club on 103rd St.

All proceeds from the First Annual RADO Open will go towards the non-profit organization’s many community outreach programs.

Bent Creek Golf Course has long enjoyed the reputation as the City of Jacksonville's premier public golf course. Since Bent Creek's opening in 1989, the 6,620-yard, Par 71 course has provided a fun and challenging golf experience.

Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines, and alongside creeks and swales.

The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.

The RADO OPEN is a four-person scramble and includes a hamburger buffet and an awards reception following a spectacular day of golf. Check in is 8 a.m. with tee off time at 9 a.m. Cost is $55 per player or $200 per foursome.

There’s a variety of business sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from $100 to $500. There will also be a hole-in-one contest for a 2010 Ford Mustang Convertible from Duval Ford.
