Westlake Village, CA, September 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The 13th Annual IAFGG Symposium (sponsored by The International Association of Facial Growth Guidance) is a Dental Conference an Orthodontic Conference and has extended the early registration deadline through September 18th, 2010.
This dental and orthodontic industry conference, has fourteen (14) scheduled speakers who will present evidence supporting the use of Biobloc Orthotropics® technology for early treatment orthodontic patients. Attendees will be shown evidence concerning correctable facial and structural issues in young patients as well as have an opportunity to evaluate evidence suggesting that unintended health consequences can occur when traditional orthodontic treatments that feature extraction of permanent teeth and/or retractive mechanics are used in young patients.
William M. Hang, DDS, MSD is program chair of the 13th Annual IAFGG Symposium and is a 20-year practitioner of Biobloc Orthotropics®. He sees a ground swell of support developing for the technique due, in large part, to the generation of young parents who were treated with traditional orthodontic techniques a generation ago. Now those parents, unhappy with how they looked, want to make sure their children do not experience the same facial structural changes that they did.
When asked why Dr. Hang took on the program chair responsibility for this Dental and Orthodontic Conference he replied, "Let it suffice to say that dentistry, to the infinite credit of many great thinkers and dental pioneers, has evolved almost beyond measure since I was restoring teeth with amalgam. And, I don’t think it is an exaggeration to say that our society has benefited enormously from dental advances. Unfortunately, I don’t think the same can be said about orthodontics. And, that’s exactly why I want as many dentists and orthodontists as possible at the IAFGG conference in October. It’s time for orthodontics to move past all manner of retractive treatments and evolve toward proper jaw development, more attractive faces and healthy airways. The Symposium concepts are not only medically important but, in my opinion, they are also critical to surviving and thriving in today’s difficult economic environment. We have patients flying in from across the country and, in some cases, from across the Atlantic, for regular Biobloc appointments. The parents are that passionate about the results they are seeing."
The 13th IAFGG Symposium is a Dental and Orthodontic Conference featuring 14 presenters who are thought leaders in Biobloc Orthotropics®. The conference will be held October 21st thru the 23rd at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Westlake Village, CA, a gorgeous suburb in greater Los Angeles County.
