A Two-Tracked, Power-Packed Attack

Rock Steady is Random Allies latest EP release, with two genuine rock warheads armed with attitude and audacity.

Toronto, Canada, September 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Canadian rockers Walter Lasky and Ted Bonis are the creative commandants behind Random Allies. Their latest EP release, Rock Steady, is a two-tracked, power-packed attack that is armed with attitude and audacity. Lasky and Bonis are hot on the heels of their successful album, Thunder Run. However, the duo has already armed two new rock warheads within Rock Steady. "And You" and "Working Woman" provide their army of fans with the sound and style they have grown to love.

Bonis explains, As songwriters, we always aim for a 'live concert' feel." He continues, "We stay away studio over-processing. These are simply kick-butt rock songs. Indeed, Random Allies is all about a non-conventional sound. Stylistically, they pervade a creative clash of classic rock and pop throughout their compositions. As songwriters, Lasky and Bonis don't hesitate to display their musical influences. Hints of AeroSmith, ZZ Top and GreenDay permeate the two singles on Rock Steady. The EP has wicked guitar licks, pulsating percussion and hooky, hard-driven phrasing.

In the first of two original tracks, "And You," shows that Lasky and Bonis can compose well-crafted lyrics over their addictive melodies. Excellent vocals match exceptional production and instrumentation. Both of these combine in a retro-Beatlesque sound in "And You." The second offering, "Working Woman" slows down the pace, with a bluesy feel and electric guitar interludes. The composition has a brash and moody feel and all the power and punch of a Rolling Stones or Dire Straits ballad. Mixed with touches of piano and organ, "Working Woman" possesses a strong storyline constructed from well-crafted lyrics. Taken together, the two tracks in Rock Steady revive a classic rock feel that most would swear had died long ago.

With their previous release, Random Allies had success via sites such as American Idol Underground, SongTiger and CDBaby. Rock Steady wil likely follow that same path as this duo from Toronto explodes with attitude and audacity. Lasky and Bonis are locked and loaded with their new EP. They've armed their two new warheads in another two-tracked, power-packed attack in Rock Steady. Join the growing army of fans behind these Random Allies.
