‘Modern Life Survival Guide’ Launched
Lewes, United Kingdom, September 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- A free new guide is being launched to help people cope with the challenges and complexity of the modern world.
The modern life survival guide is a 48 page booklet that helps people to understand and deal with some of the most important pressures of modern life, including the fast pace of life, stress, the influence of consumerism and global problems such as the environment. It provides practical steps we can take to flourish within the pressure and complexity of the modern world, including how to live with greater self-determination (through actions such as thinking critically and developing your resilience), how to live in line with your values and how to find greater well-being and meaning (through actions such as finding your own pace of life, connecting with people, getting into nature and exploring your inner world).
The guide is being launched by Life² (www.lifesquared.org.uk) - a not-for-profit organisation helping people to live happier, wiser and more meaningful lives in the modern world, which has received praise from people as diverse as Stephen Fry and Jonathon Porritt.
Life² Director, Richard Docwra, emphasised the need for this guide: "We live in a world where we’re rushed, stressed out, consuming too much and not getting any happier. This guide helps people to remember what’s important in life, so that they can flourish rather than struggle in the modern world. Critically, in these financially stretched times, it involves spending less – rather than more – money."
From Monday 27th September, 'The modern life survival guide' can be downloaded for free from the Life² website at www.lifesquared.org.uk.
