Leason Ellis Expansion Continues

White Plains, NY, September 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Leason Ellis is pleased to announce the continuing expansion of its ability to service the needs of its clients by the addition of several new key people and a new practice group.

Bonnie Carney has joined the firm as Counsel with a concentration on the pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent sectors. Bonnie worked on Amgen v. Chugai, one of the earliest cases concerning genetic engineering, and its related interferences. She has also had extensive European opposition experience including making appearances at the EPO.

Jordan Garner joins the firm as Associate working in IP prosecution and litigation. While in law school, Jordan was a Judicial Intern for Chief Judge Randal R. Rader of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He has since written patents on topics as diverse as gene-therapy technologies and children’s pop-up books.

Maren Perry joins as trademark Associate. Maren has searched and cleared hundreds of marks covering products and services spanning all industries from consumer products to complex computer-related goods to popular television show titles like Mad Men, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and Bridezillas.

Cameron Reuber joins Leason Ellis as Associate specializing in IP litigation. Cameron has appeared before 25 U.S. district courts sitting in 10 different federal circuits, as well as the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Leason Ellis' newly formed Japanese Patent Group is comprised of professionals dedicated to providing IP services to companies in Japan in all areas of technology. Among other things, the JPG allows firm clients in Japan to communicate in Japanese, thus reducing time and costs.
