Rapport International, LLC is hosting a language translation contest for high school students in honor of International Translation Day on September 30. Students can win a $100 American Express gift card by translating a short story into the language of their choice.
Boston, MA, September 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rapport International, LLC is pleased to announce a Language Translation contest for high school students. Students can win an American Express gift card by translating a story of a foreign language translation goof into the language of their choice. The language translation contest is sponsored by Rapport International, LLC in honor of International Translation Day celebrated on September 30th of each year.
High School students around the world are invited to compete by translating the story of a translation misunderstanding into one of any language. The winner of the $100 American Express gift certificate will be chosen by a random drawing of qualified translations. The contest will run from September 30 to October 31, 2010. The translation story and contest rules are posted on the Rapport International website.
Wendy Pease, Executive Director of Rapport International claims, "This is our second annual translation contest and I am excited to see the students get involved. Language courses are offered throughout school but most students do not know about opportunities in the language translation industry. Hopefully, this contest will encourage students to become bilingual - which can only enhance future career prospects."
