Middletown, NJ, September 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Middletown Lions Club raised nearly $10,000 at their 5th Annual Auto Show & Motorcycle Meet on Saturday, September 18th to benefit the New Jersey Blind Citizens Association (NJBCA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the blind and visually impaired in NJ.

“The Middletown Lions Club is thrilled to donate all proceeds from our Auto Show to this valuable organization,” said Club President Jim Guerrieri. “NJBCA does so much for the blind and visually impaired in New Jersey, and we are proud to continue supporting their programs.”

“This is our 100th year of operation,” says Marisa Medina, NJBCA Director of Development. “The Middletown Lions, and everyone who contributed at this year’s show, have given us a much needed birthday gift! During a time when funding is so scarce, their financial support means that we can continue our work with the blind and visually impaired.”

Garden State Land Surveyors Alliance (GSLSA) was a Platinum Sponsor of this year’s event. “As land surveyors, our sight is so important,” says George Lucas, GSLSA Executive Director. “We couldn’t do our work without being sighted, which is why the members of the Alliance support such a great cause.”

The Middletown Lions and NJBCA thank all show sponsors: Garden State Land Surveyors Alliance, GARAS Construction, Crown Tire, Middletown Pharmacy and Medical Equipment, Neff Aguilar LLC, New Monmouth Diner, PNC Bank of Middletown, The Grout Medic, Janet K. Dutkowski, American Legion Memorial Post 338, and Dearborn Market.
