Charlottesville, VA, September 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- emClock® – America’s Greenest Emergency Messaging Clock
Emergency Message Controls (EMC) announced the introduction of emClock® (www.emClock.com), America’s first Power over Ethernet (PoE) network clock with emergency messaging. emClock provides synchronized network time and location specific messaging in an affordable and efficient Power over Ethernet device that has a digital clock form factor.
emClock uses the IEEE standard (IEEE 802.3af) for Power over Ethernet. This reduces installation costs by as much as $1200 per clock as there is no need to install AC power at each clock location. Operating and maintenance costs are also greatly reduced with this energy efficient network clock and mass notification solution. emClock works like a digital wall clock but has built in tone alarm and text color options that can draw attention to any message. These messages can be up to 200 characters in length.
The emClock Mass Notification product has a number of powerful features including:
3 time formats for the default time display.
3 color options for both message presentation and time display.
emClock Group assignments provide an easy way to quickly address Groups of emClocks.
High priority emergency messaging to individual and /or Groups of emClocks.
Low priority operational messages can be scheduled to play automatically at specified times.
Tone alarm for any message.
Visibility from more than 100 ft.
Free emClock Control Panel software controls up to 1000 emClocks per instance of the software. This software provides rich device monitoring, reporting and event logging services.
emClocks support both DHCP and static IP addressing and secure connections.
Plus many other features.
“Large buildings and campuses have long struggled with delivering relevant information quickly to places such as classrooms, offices, corridors and cafeterias where limited communication coverage might exist. Adding visual notification devices such as emClock is very important for comprehensive mass notification and related safety,” said Gerry Gorman, Co-Founder & CEO of EMC.
