YourCause Provides Solution for High School Volunteer Curriculum

The CSRconnect platform works seamlessly for students and faculty. Within the customized, private, and secure community, ESD students are able to log in, connect to charities, find volunteer opportunities and track their hours. Administratively, for Community Service Director Christi Morrow, the ‘Hour Manager’ provides a simple, accurate and digital method to centrally record, track and capture all volunteer data.

ESD officially launched the customized community to its ninth through twelfth-grade students in August 2010. As part of their community service curriculum, students in the upper grade levels are required to complete 25 hours of community service during their freshman and sophomore years and an additional 25 hours during their junior and senior years. More than 70% of the students exceed that requirement.
