Candis Magazine Boasts UK’s “Cleanest” Database Thanks to Postcode Anywhere
Newhall Publications Ltd cuts call centre costs by £10,000 with data validation software.
Worcester, United Kingdom, September 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rapid address-entry and bank validation software provided by Postcode Anywhere has led to Royal Mail auditors dubbing the Candis magazine call centre database “one of the cleanest they have ever come across.”
The software is used at point-of-sale and in the call centre itself to ensure customer orders go through without a hitch. Thanks to the award-winning technology, Candis magazine publishers Newhall Publications announced savings of almost £10,000 in one year.
Newhall Publications IT Director Chris Harman said: “Before using postcode validation a member of the admin team would spend a minimum of ten hours per week correcting data manually. If you equate this to paying someone £7.50 per hour at ten hours, after 52 weeks of the year it amounts to an annual saving of £3,900.
“Before using Bank Validation from Postcode Anywhere, we estimate that out of the total 60,000 subscription direct debits processed, one in 50 would be rejected. Call centre operator time would also be incurred telephoning the subscribers of the rejected bank details - and more often than not the calls were abortive, basically resulting in a lost sale.
“The admin time spent was significant as well as the cost of lost revenue calculated at two percent of 60,000 subscriptions multiplied by £35, which equals an annual saving of £4,200. The consolidation of the two services has also saved us £1,500 in licence fees, making an overall yearly saving of £9,600.
