A New Fashion Magazine is Now Available for Plus-Size - SKORCH Magazine
There’s finally a magazine for the plus-size women who love to dress sexy, shop, and enjoy life with curves. SKORCH Magazine is here to fill the void.
Portland, OR, January 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- SKORCH Magazine™, (www.skorchmagazine.com), a revolutionary new fashion magazine for plus-size women, today launched their premier issue, available online. The founders of SKORCH Magazine™, Jessica Reese and Carrie Woomer, kicked off the launch with a star-studded premier launch party at trendy hotspot, PALA Lounge, in Portland, Ore. on New Year’s Eve.
“SKORCH Magazine™ is offering what no one else is – a fashionable plus-size magazine with empowering and insightful articles that is sexy, hip, and relevant,” said Reese, President & Co-Founder, SKORCH Inc. “SKORCH Magazine™ is about presenting to the world fun, fashionable, beautiful women that exude confidence,” said Woomer, Vice-President & Co-Founder, SKORCH Inc, “we want to empower every female reader.”
SKORCH Magazine™ is one of the few in a small group of on-line magazines targeted to plus-size women. However, the founders of SKORCH Magazine™ were determined to keep the magazine experience, even though SKORCH Magazine™ is only offered online at this time. “That’s what we love about magazines, the colors, layout, and pictures. No one else is doing what we’re doing,” said Reese. SKORCH Magazine™ provides a 50 page, full-color, magazine with easy to use navigational tools.
SKORCH Magazine™ rang in the New Year with celebrity guests such as Rasha Spindel-Chapman, cover girl for the premier issue of SKORCH Magazine™ and contestant on hit reality show, “The Biggest Loser.” Also in attendance, Ken Coleman from the 2006 season of “The Biggest Loser,” Maggie Brown, nationally known plus-model and “Thick & Sexy” Winner from “The Tyra Show,” M’chel Bauxal, celebrity stylist and make-up artist, and Chandra Chase, international plus-model with Heffner Model Management and founder of the non-profit, Reshaping Role Models.
SKORCH Magazine™ Mission: We are not about labels. We want to help empower and inspire women to find that beauty within themselves they may not have realized was there. We vow to produce a credible fashion-forward magazine that will contain beautiful images, inspiring articles, and the best style tips around. Think of it as InStyle™, with a dash of Cosmo™ and a pinch of Vogue™.
