Direct-to-Consumer Pioneer Dale Henn Joins Risdall Marketing Group to Form New Division

New Brighton, MN, September 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Risdall Marketing Group (RMG) has teamed with direct to consumer pioneer Dale Henn to form Risdall Henn Direct-to-Market (RHDM). Devoted to helping drive product sales through a variety of distribution strategies, RHDM brings together the expertise and suite of resources necessary for companies to effectively and efficiently connect directly with consumers.

Henn joins the agency as president of the new division and will work closely with clients of all sizes — from entrepreneurial and start ups to established corporations — to craft direct product marketing programs that break through the clutter and drive product sales.

RMG founder and CEO, John Risdall first met Henn in 2004 when Risdall was a judge for the syndicated TV Show, “Million Dollar Idea.” Henn won first place on the show with TurboFit, a compact weight lifting system. Since then, Henn has stayed connected as an agency client – first with Compex Technologies and most recently with Contour Technology, a company he founded in 2006.

Through his career, Henn has been intimately involved in the development and marketing of innovative, market-changing consumer lifestyle, nutraceutical and fitness products, most recently with Minneapolis-based Contour Technology LLC. As CEO of Contour Technology, Henn achieved first year direct to consumer sales of more than $50 million for its Contour Core Sculpting System abdominal belts. The sales of the product have been driven primarily through a powerful infomercial strategy has been the number one performing infomercial in the history of direct response television. Additionally, Henn formed a joint-venture in 2009 to handle the retail and additional direct response television distribution with Allstar Marketing Group, creator of the enormously successful Snuggie Blanket.

Prior to founding Contour Technology, Henn put his direct to consumer marketing prowess to work for Compex Technologies where he implemented sales and marketing strategies via multiple distribution channels and drove significant growth for the organization — including $20 million in direct to consumer sales for the Slendertone abdominal belt. At Compex, Henn began as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Compex Sport muscle stimulators and then was elevated to director of sales for Compex Technologies and its Slendertone abdominal belt and bun-n-thigh shorts muscle stimulators.

Earlier in his career, Henn held positions at Humanetics Corporation, an ingredient supplier to the dietary supplement industry, Canton, Ohio-based Fitness Quest, Chaska, Minn-based American Harvest, a housewares marketer/manufacturer and NordicTrack, Inc. While at NordicTrack, Henn worked closely with Jim Sandstrom, President of Risdall Sandstrom Media Works, a division of Risdall Marketing Group.

A graduate of St. Cloud State University, Henn has been a keynote speaker, trained world class athletes and authored numerous articles.
