Micah Robbins Signs on as Co-Chair for Broward County's Premier Networking Alliance (PNA) Festival of the Flutes
Micah Robbins, executive director of Drug Free Youth in Town (DFYIT), has signed on as co-chair of Festival of the Flutes 2010, joining Scott Brook of Premier Networking Alliance (PNA) to help lead a team of volunteers for the 7th annual food and wine fundraiser. Festival of the Flutes 2010,” a gala Fall Costume Ball event, will be held on Friday, October 29, at 8 p.m. (6:30 for VIP) at the Coral Springs Heron Bay Marriott Hotel in South Florida.
Coral Springs, FL, September 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Micah Robbins, executive director of Drug Free Youth in Town (DFYIT), has signed on as co-chair of Festival of the Flutes 2010, joining Scott Brook to help lead a team of volunteers for the 7th annual food and wine fundraiser. Premier Networking Alliance’s 7th Annual Festival of the Flutes 2010, a gala Fall Costume Ball event, will be held on Friday, October 29, at 8 p.m. (6:30 for VIP) at the Coral Springs Heron Bay Marriott Hotel. In addition to food and wine, the event will feature auctions, music and entertainment. Proceeds will benefit Lauren’s Light, Coral Springs Community Chest and Drug-Free Youth in Town (DFYIT).
“With years of experience he is the surely going to help raise money for the charities and be an asset to the event in many ways,” said Scott Brook, Co-Founder of Premier Networking Alliance (PNA).
Micah Robbins, the newly named executive director of Miami-based charity DFYIT, accepted the co-chair appointment after Scott Brook asked for help. Feeling Micah Robbins could lend a valuable hand; the two quickly went to work. At meetings and working side by side with the Festival’s volunteers they are making the festival come to life. This year’s event is expected to draw more than 400 business owners, local officials and residents. Since its inception, the Festival of the Flutes has raised almost $100,000 for various worthy causes.

Scott Brook graduated from the University Of Miami School Of Law in 1992 and immediately began Workers' Compensation litigation for the firm of Conroy, Simberg and Lewis. In March 2000, Scott Brook began his private practice to better serve clients in the South Florida tri-county area. Scott J. Brook, P.A., specializing in Workers' Compensation and Family Law, has offices in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. In March 2006, Scott Brook was elected Mayor of Coral Springs. In March 2002, Mr. Brook defeated a 12-year incumbent when he was elected to the City Commission of Coral Springs and served a four-year term. He serves as founder and Chairman of the Coral Springs Customer Involved Government Committee, Parent Education Committee and is a member of the Financial Advisory Committee. Scott Brook works as a motivational speaker for youth and various charities throughout Broward County. He is very active in numerous civic activities, including mentoring for Take Stock in Children in the Tri-County area as well as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Florida and the Coral Springs Community Chest.
