Charlotte Home Stager Joan Inglis Wins State Award
Master Stager Joan Inglis, owner of Lake Wylie Home Staging, was awarded the North Carolina Home Builders Association 2010 Stars Award for Best Special Project - Marketing.
Charlotte, NC, September 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Joan Inglis, a master at home staging and at marketing her staged homes for builders, Realtors, and sellers, was awarded the NCHBA 2010 Stars Award for Best Special Project - Marketing, for the Good Samaritan House.
"The Good Samaritan House was a year-long labor of love," said Inglis, who is a member of Lake Norman Home Builders Association, Home Buiders Association of Charlotte, and York County Home Builders Association.
The project - a month-long charity home tour - benefited Clover Area Assistance Center (CAAC) located in Clover, SC, and received an array of media and online coverage including front page features with the Rock Hill Herald and Lake Wylie Pilot, and a front page Home & Garden feature spread in the Charlotte Observer.
Inglis furnished the Good Samaritan house with her own new, namebrand high-end furnishings. People traveled hours to view the home and decor, have a chance to win prizes, and support CAAC. The most frequent comments from attendees were about the furnishings and how they were arranged, Inglis said.
"This was the first professionally staged home put on public tour in the Charlotte Region and it caused quite a stir," she said. "People said they could see how my staging enhanced the features of the home instead of overpowering it."
Curt Sieck, a master builder and owner of Jeff Carey Homes, LLC, and his wife Mary Sieck, a Realtor with Century 21 Palmetto Homes, collaborated with Inglis to garner donated labor and materials to complete construction of the home in time for the tour, which was held in fall 2009.
"A lot of professionals donated time, materials, or services to this event," said Inglis, who initiated, orchestrated and handled PR for the entire project.
