Westec Plastics Adds State-of-the-Art Metrology Capability

Livermore, CA, September 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Westec Plastics Corporation announces its acquisition of a MicroVu optical coordinate measuring machine with resolution to one-tenth of a micron (4 one-millionths of an inch). This machine is also touch-probe capable as well as outfitted with a number of other specialty attachments to aid in complex measurement challenges. The machine is fully programmable, making detailed inspections on each part from multi-cavity tooling extremely efficient. The software includes a complete suite of statistical capabilities, facilitating process validation studies and design of experiments to any desired level of sophistication.

The addition of equipment is consistent with Westec’s track record of continually investing in technologies and capabilities that complement and further its abilities to serve the needs of its customers.
