Three Songs Voted to Latin-Rock Top 10 Chart: Jose Hendrix N. American Debut Singles Make a Mark with Fresh, Inventive Sound
From Kinshasa, DRC Congo, to Kansas City, MO, the virtual songwriting collaboration between Mye-Isle Productions (Kelly Myers and Don Belisle) and Jose Hendrix is surprising listeners with inventive fresh blend of American-Latin-Pop. Now they hold title to having three songs on Broadjam’s Latin-Rock Top 10 chart all at the same time.
New York, NY, September 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- American songwriting team, Mye-Isle Productions (Kelly Myers and Don Belisle), recently put their confidence exclusively in Jose Hendrix to record and perform their songs for a worldwide stage. When It Feels (now at #8 on Top 10), the first single borne from a virtual music collaboration between the songwriters in America and an international pop singer, Jose Hendrix and his band in Africa, was released in August and immediately voted onto Broadjam’s peer-rated Latin-Rock Top 10 Chart. Two more singles released in September from the collaboration CD, called Embrace the Earth, Walk2Me (#6) and Laid Back LA (#5), were also quickly voted to the Latin-Rock Top 10 Chart.

Having three songs on the Latin-Rock Top 10 Chart all at the same time is a major accomplishment, showing initial reaction to the music to be positive. Embrace The Earth showcases Jose’s unique tenor vocals and talented layering of characteristic tones and timbres. Jose calls his style “Kiando.” American pop songs written stateside by Don Belisle and Kelly Myers are inventively re-blended into a new, fresh and energetic pop by Jose and musicians in a studio in the Capital of DRC, Congo. Some critics say the vocal work can be compared to Michael Jackson with an inspiring, inventive bent like Prince, mixed with super-charged Latin overtones similar to Miami Sound Machine and Santana.
What’s next in the project? Kelly Myers says, “Jose Hendrix is pursuing publishing and touring opportunities in America. The initial interest in our work has been a pleasant surprise. As we finalize our CD and a recording deal, we plan to continue our social work in Africa, building micro-economies of employed musicians and artists. Also, we plan on expanding music education programs to orphaned and gifted children.” “The end goal is simple,” Kelly Myers says. “People just want to work for a living in DRC, just like anywhere in the world. Through the Internet, Congolese musicians can tap themselves into the world music market and get paid for their musicianship. American and world markets reap benefits of being tapped into these “creative zones” like Kinshasa, where there’s a lot of inspiring talent to pick from. The energy-bursting sound from this region of Africa is becoming popular worldwide. Internet based businesses in Congo can offer full service advertising with distinctive sounding jingles or music tracks.”
