New DuraLabel 4000 Labeler Ripe with Label Printing Options for Smaller Facilities
The new DuraLabel 4000, which prints on vinyl tapes and die-cut labels 1″ to 4″ in width, is engineered for the industrial workplace.
Beaverton, OR, September 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- With an effectual nod to medium-duty industrial labeling taskmasters, the DuraLabel 4000 Label & Sign Printer was introduced today by Graphic Products, Inc., a leading provider of workplace safety solutions per label printers and labeling supplies.
“The DuraLabel 4000 is specifically designed to give our small and medium customers a low cost way to get all of the benefits of having a DuraLabel sign and label printer with a low startup cost,” said Stacy Foos, director of research development at Graphic Products. “It’s a smart, economical concept, because as those customers continue to grow, they can then trade in their DuraLabel 4000 toward a system designed for larger facilities.”
Designed to print with speeds up to three inches per second and with clear 203 dpi resolution, the compact DuraLabel 4000 thermal transfer printer produces 1″ to 4″ width labels and signs for numerous applications like pipe marking, 5S labeling, chemical hazards, OSHA safety information, machinery and equipment, identification marking and electrical panels.
One key component of the DuraLabel 4000 is the cutter. Two cutter options currently exist: a manual cutter and an automatic cutter. According to Foos, the cutter plays a larger role in determining which cutter option a facility will select upon purchase because it is one of the more expensive parts of a label and sign printer.
“It may seem simple, but the cutters are really a highly engineered precision cutting tool. A manual cutter gives us the ability to greatly reduce the initial cost of the printer for the customer, yet the option to upgrade to the automatic cutter at any time is still available to them,” said Foos.
Utilizing a USB 2.0 communications interface, the new labeler works with any Windows® 2000, Windows® XP, Windows® VISTA or Windows® 7 operating system.
Every DuraLabel 4000 comes bundled with DuraLabel’s DuraSuite labeling software, which includes an expansive library of over 700 industrial symbols and pictograms updated to comply with current ANSI and OSHA standards. DuraSuite also comes with over 500 label templates for simple and fast design.
Premium vinyl tapes are available in over 30 colors, and ribbons are available in seven colors. Some black ribbons are specifically engineered to resist oils and chemicals. All DuraLabel supplies and ribbons are designed to withstand harsh environments often associated with industrial environments both indoors and outdoors.
For more labeling options, many specialty supplies can be used with the DuraLabel 4000. Specialty supplies include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Arc Flash Die-Cut Labels
- RTK Die-Cut Labels
- High-Tack Tape
- Two-Color Vinyl
- Self-Laminating Wire Wrap
- Oily Surface Tape
- Cold Storage Tape
- Tamper-Evident VOID Tape
- Phosphorescent Tape
- Reflective Vinyl Tape
