ThePitchfordGroup.com will be hosting the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon on the baseball field downtown on Saturday October 9th. Select visitors will have the opportunity to go on a tethered ride in the balloon from 4-6. There will be a drawing to win a ride with the Pilot and Cody Pitchford of ThePitchfordGroup.com when it launches for a non tethered flight at 6 p.m. weather permitting. Grand Ledge, MI, October 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The 30th annual Color Cruise and Island Festival will take place on Island Park in downtown Grand Ledge on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 8, 9, and 10 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
ThePitchfordGroup.com will be hosting the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon on the baseball field downtown on Saturday October 9th. Select visitors will have the opportunity to go on a tethered ride in the balloon from 4-6.

Color Cruise visitors will be able to see demonstrations of black kettle caramel corn, apple cider pressing, blacksmithing, weaving, spinning, wood carving and other old time activities. Visit a fur trader encampment, enjoy good food and live entertainment and take a covered wagon or boat ride. Children can visit the petting zoo, paint a pumpkin or dip a candle for a small fee.
The admission price is $3.00 for adults (seniors $2.00 Friday only) and $1.00 for children and is good for all three days.
See the fall colors and 60 foot sandstone ledges on the Grand River from the Princess Laura riverboat or rent a canoe.
Riverboat rides are $8.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. If you want to learn more about the history of the ledges and the river join Eaton County Parks naturalist Jackie Blanc for a boat ride down the Grand River and walk back along the river path and ledges to the island on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
