The National Kidney Foundation to Celebrate Inaugural Portland Authors Luncheon on November 13
Portland, OR, September 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The National Kidney Foundation will celebrate the Inaugural Portland Author’s Luncheon Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10 AM at the Hilton Portland. The luncheon features six internationally known authors: Julie Powell, Armistead Maupin, Stacy Schiff, Condoleezza Rice, Tom Lichtenheld and Jacqueline Winspear . Each of these renowned authors will address the audience during a gourmet lunch. Guests will have an opportunity to meet the authors, purchase books, and obtain autographs before and after the luncheon.
National Kidney Foundation’s Premier Literary Event: The National Kidney Foundation has a long history of successful author events including the 21st Annual San Francisco Authors luncheon and the 15th Annual Sacramento Authors Luncheon as well as single author events. These events have featured many of the world’s most popular authors, involved over 30,000 patrons in 20 years and have raised over $10 million in support of NKF programs.
Why This Event is Important: Nearly 500,000 people in Oregon suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease. The luncheon proceeds support the work of the National Kidney Foundation to directly enhance the lives of people in our community who are either dialysis or transplant patients or at risk for developing kidney disease.
How to Participate: Individual tickets are $65, individual tables are $650 and table sponsorships begin at $1,750.
