Technology Conservation Group, Inc. Receives Florida Governor's Business Diversification Award
Technology Conservation Group, Inc. has received a Business Diversification Award from the Governor of the State of Florida.
Lecanto, FL, September 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Technology Conservation Group (TCG) has received a 2010 Governor’s Business Diversification Award for exceptional contributions made toward statewide economic diversification. TCG received the award in the Green-to-Gold category, for best exemplifying “green” leadership as it pertains to the state’s goal to become a leader in the emerging “green” technology field. TCG’s Florida location processes more than 6 million tons of recyclable material each year into raw material feedstock for industrial manufacturing around the world. This, in turn, reduces greenhouse gas emissions by requiring significantly less energy to manufacture products from recyclables than virgin ore and by avoiding landfilling.
“We’re very proud to receive this award and be able to share it with our employees,” said Hamilton Rice, President and CEO of Technology Conservation Group. “We work very hard to live and carry on our business in an environmentally responsible manner in all of our domestic and international locations. We’re also involved in local education programs, clean-up efforts, and computer donation programs for local schools.” TCG continues to expand with local economies benefiting at each of its locations in direct relation to its growth, while continuing to have a positive environmental impact at the state and global level in its daily operations.
