Morton Grove Action Party Hits the Streets for Fall "Walk & Talk"
A record number of Morton Grove Action Party volunteers, members, officers, directors, and elected officials took to the streets of Morton Grove (specifically precincts 52, 54, and 55) going door-to-door to take the pulse of the public and to hear what residents had to say about what is going on in their neighborhoods. Voters’ opinions, comments, and suggestions were solicited.
Morton Grove, IL, September 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- As the cool breezes blew, and football replaced the heat and games of summer, the Morton Grove Action Party team pulled together once again to win another victory on the field.
On September 25 and 26, a record number of Morton Grove Action Party volunteers, members, officers, directors, and elected officials took to the streets of Morton Grove (specifically precincts 52, 54, and 55) going door-to-door to take the pulse of the public and to hear what residents had to say about what is going on in their neighborhoods. Voters’ opinions, comments, and suggestions were solicited.
The fall “Walk & Talk” was also an opportunity for the Action Party to relate to residents how their elected officials are taking “action” to make good things happen in the Village. Currently, the Dempster Street corridor (between Central and Lehigh) and Lincoln Avenue (between Austin and the Metra Station) are undergoing major infrastructure and face-lift changes; a parking lot is being built across from the Metra Station to help relieve parking congestion in that area; a progressive Alzheimer’s and memory care assisted living residence is being built on Lincoln Avenue on the site of the old Jamaican Gardens; Essex Corporation will be breaking ground soon on an 82-unit Senior housing development in the Lehigh-Ferris neighborhood; and a new Culver’s is coming to the west side of town.
Once again, the Action Party demonstrated to its Village’s residents that “our team” is the one that will seek out and listen to their needs and concerns.
The Action Party is a grassroots Morton Grove-based political party which prides itself in the fact that its members are non-partisan – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents – who are dedicated to providing the Village of Morton Grove with experienced, independent, and dedicated leadership.
Interested residents are encouraged to attend the Action Party’s monthly meetings. The organization meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at a local Morton Grove park district field house. Information about upcoming meetings and events can be found on the Action Party’s website at: www.actionparty.org.
