Lee Mirman of Global Social Housing Meets with the Costa Rican Minister of Housing to Push Forward the Colorado Project for Social Housing

The Costa Rica Housing Minister, Irene Campos, met this week with Lee Mirman of Global Social Housing to discuss the company's social housing project in Colorado, Costa Rica.

Sarasota, FL, October 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lee Mirman, of Global Social Housing, met this week with Costa Rican Minister of Housing, Irene Campos, confirming the two organisations’ commitment to working together on the Colorado social housing project.

The Costa Rican government is firmly committed to supporting social housing philanthropic projects and backs all donations of this kind with a cast iron guarantee. Projects such as the Colorado Project address the need for homes for the 40,000 families facing homelessness, alleviating part of the global need for housing, while alleviating the costs of social assistance for the government.

Mr Mirman said: “Ms Campos has been a great help in forwarding the project. Global Social Housing are delighted to be working with the Costa Rica Government’s support in achieving its charitable goals within Costa Rica.”

The Colorado Project is ready to begin building, with the Peace Corps on board to manage the new communities, and the backing of the Costa Rica National Mortgage Bank of Housing (BANHVI). Over the last twenty years BANHVI has funded $700 million in housing solutions and has allocated $130 million for social housing developments for 2010.
