Gainesville, FL, September 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Building Envelope Science Institute (BESI) is now registered with the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) as a provider for recertification credits (RCs) for the two-day National Training & Certification Seminar on “Chinese” or Defective Drywall in America being offered on October 26-27, 2010. This two-day course is part of the First Annual Conference, Training Seminar & Exhibition for Defective (Chinese) Drywall Inspection and Remediation being held on October 24-27, 2010 at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina located at 1881 SE 17th Street Causeway in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Recertification credits (RCs) are granted at the rate of one (1) credit per contact hour of continuing education or professional development; the course offered by BESI has been accepted for 16 RCs and is listed on the ACAC website (Registration #10092301). The American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) develops and maintains independent, third-party accredited certification programs for professionals. ACAC certifications attest to verified knowledge, field experience and continuing professional development. The ACAC website states they “offer independent, accredited certifications to experienced professionals that have demonstrated their knowledge and experience in such fields as building sciences, industrial hygiene, indoor environmental risk assessment and microbial investigation, remediation and consulting.” ACAC's certifications focus on indoor air quality and related disciplines.

The two-day Defective (Chinese) Drywall course offered through the Building Envelope Science Institute (BESI) provides quality education and training to experienced, qualified individuals; conveying the knowledge and skills essential for performing inspections and remediation on structures containing defective (Chinese) drywall.
