Interfaith Wedding Rabbi Marries Couples on Saturdays

Overland Park, KS, January 11, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Ordained reform Rabbi Stuart E. Davis considers it a mitzvah (good deed) to marry interfaith couples on Saturday and travels throughout the United States to perform weddings and commitment ceremonies for interfaith couples. Rabbi Davis often co-officiates with other clergy.

Dr. Davis's years of training and experience as a psychologist, rabbi and chaplain enable him to anticipate areas of stress for interfaith couples. He works to ease any discomfort felt by family members in an unfamiliar religious setting.

When asked why he agrees to marry a Jew and a non-Jew when so many rabbis refuse, Rabbi Davis responded: "I believe that the couple's relationship transcends any institutional restrictions."
